I’m a lifelong gamer and all-around nerd, who also happens to be a “girl/cat dad” to 2 daughters and 5 cats, and a husband who pesters his wife to play more board games. My love of gaming started with video games, all the way back with Tetris and Link’s Awakening on the original Game Boy. It wasn’t until later in life, around 2022, when I first stumbled into a LGS in my area that I discovered the world of modern board games.

Since then, I’ve fallen head over heels for all types, sizes, and genres of board games. From small, quick experiences like Flip 7 and Faraway to more complex & involved games like Distilled and Dune Imperium, my palette for board games is varied. With that said, you’ll typically find me playing ‘Medium Light’ to ‘Medium Heavy’ games with strong themes and top-notch artwork and components.

When I’m not playing or writing about board games, I’m probably nerding out over something else. I’m an avid sports watcher – a huge Detroit Red Wings and Cincinnati Bengals fan – a frequent pro wrestling viewer who grew up watching WWE in the Attitude Era, and a consistent reader who consumes an odd mix of fantasy, historical non-fiction, and self-help books. In the rare moments when I’m not being an utter nerd, I work as a digital marketer.
